Modem Firmware Test Engineer

Clients Modem Firmware (FW) Test group is responsible for verifying modem device functionality and features as well as characterizing modem performance of the physical layer firmware implementation during various phases of modem development and commercialization. The Modem FW Test group is responsible for set-up, automation, maintenance, enhancement, and evolution of modem FW test infrastructure and process.
Candidate will be responsible for the verification of 4G (LTE) and/or 5G physical layer implementations of complex modem ASIC products. Candidate will gain experience in programming / developing scripts for various physical layer test equipment such as Anritsu, Keysight, and R&S as well as proprietary test systems. The focus will be on the testing/verification of physical layer performance, functionality, and advanced proprietary modem features/capabilities such as Carrier Aggregation, MIMO, interference cancellation, etc. In addition, the candidate will gain experience in the development of feature and system level test plans and in the analysis and debug of functionality and performance through inspection of system logs. The specific job charter entails both pre and post silicon verification of the modem subsystem at the physical layer primarily relating to firmware, hardware, and systems algorithms. Candidate will be working with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver best in class modem products for Client.
BS / MS in Electrical Engineering
MS in Electrical Engineering w/ emphasis on Wireless Communications
Required: Bachelor's, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Preferred: Master's, Electrical Engineering and/or Electronics & Satellites Eng and/or Information Technology or equivalent experience
